Danilift A/S has sold 90% of its shares to SMH Holding as part of a planned generational transition and to strengthen the company’s future development opportunities. Knud Erik Markussen will continue as CEO of Danilift A/S, thereby ensuring continuity in management.
After nearly three years of dedicated work, the company has succeeded in finding the right investor to continue and further develop Danilift. With SMH Holding as the new majority shareholder, the foundation for growth, production, and international expansion of Danilift’s products is significantly strengthened.
Danilift will continue to operate from Denmark and maintain its identity as a Danish manufacturing company focused on quality and innovation.
“We are entering an exciting future, and I am convinced that with our new owner, Danilift will become even more visible in the lift industry than ever before. To use our own slogan: We will lift high and reach far – farther than we have previously been able to,” says former owner and CEO Knud Erik Markussen.
Behind SMH Holding is Svend Møller Hansen, an experienced Danish businessman and founder of DS Gruppen, established in 1969. Today, DS Gruppen is a major industrial group specializing in steel and concrete solutions.
“I saw that Danilift has the right products and the quality that I can identify with. What they lacked was strength – and that is exactly what we can contribute,” says Svend Møller Hansen.
Through SMH Holding, he invests in and develops industrial companies with a focus on long-term growth and value creation.
