As of 1 September 2026, Danilift has strengthened its management team with the appointment of Thorsten Otte as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO). With a strong technical background and many years of experience in development, production and leadership, Thorsten will play a key role in Danilift’s continued development.
Thorsten Otte joins Danilift from Grundfos, where he most recently served as R&D Director with responsibilities within production and technology development. He brings extensive experience in areas including innovation, technical development, production and leadership to his new role.
The appointment follows the recently established partnership between Danilift and SMH Holding, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the company. With ambitions to strengthen the business, further develop production and build a solid foundation for continued growth, Thorsten will play an important role in turning this new direction into concrete initiatives across the organisation.
As COO, Thorsten will have broad responsibilities, with a particular focus on Danilift’s production and the company’s operational development. Collaboration across the organisation, as well as maintaining close relationships with customers and business partners, will also be an important part of his role.
